Cyber Shopping

In 1863, when Abraham Lincoln proclaimed that Thanksgiving Day was to be national holiday each year, he could not have imagined the eventual evolution of Cyber Monday shopping.  Beginning this holiday season the fingers of shopping stretched into Thanksgiving Day! Many “brick and mortar” retailers decided to open up even earlier than midnight on Black Friday by offering deals starting as early as 8pm on Thanksgiving night. Perhaps it’s a step for “brick and mortar stores” to ensure their fair share of the holiday sales prior to the largest cyber shopping day of the year, luring shoppers into stores with door busters and must-have deals. Only time will tell if their tactics are successful.

What did you do on Thanksgiving? Did you add holiday shopping to your Turkey Day to do list? Or did you stay in and enjoy the company of your family a little longer? We’re curious what you think about the holiday shopping craze?
